As the expected monsoon too failed, the water situation in the village worsened further. The main bore-well in the village that supplies water is about 300 ft. away from the homes and the village authorities were very kind to supply water once in two days to fill our overhead tanks provided one of us wait until midnight to pull the flexible pipes from the bore-well to our compound. Bro. Prakash kindly took the responsibility to oversee the operation. In the meantime we also sought the possibility of another bore-well in our compound. The surveyor who located two points preferred the one close to the visitor's quarters.

The advise was to drill 700+ ft. to get a good yield. As the Charis

home children need more privacy and independence,The two boys, Peter and Aakash shifted to the upstairs of Charis home. We have a study supervisor Mrs. Tintu Thomas who will look after the study hours assisted by Lalitha Aaron. Sahaya too helps in Telugu language in the lower classes. Susanna and Joanna have to appear for supplementary exams to complete their intermediate courses in March 2016. Joanna is teaching the KG students at Tim's C3 centre primary school. Susanna had some health problems for which she was undergoing treatment for the last four months and now she has improved well to involve in daily activities of the homes. Recently the Loyola school principal Mr.Francis paid a visit to the homes and reported that our children have made good progress in studies.

The four 10th class children (Benhur, Peter, Ruth&Hanna) are given special care in studies as they have to appear for school final examinations this academic year. Tintumol is taking care of this. Anusha requested for a special permission to stay at a hostel near the city for the

convenience of doing field work as part of her studies. She is completing her degree in social work this academic year. Betsica hasn't been well for some time and she was staying with the parents for the last two months.

As the children have grown up, there was a need of modifying the bath room toilet blocks of the Charis home to give more privacy. The home committee recommended a repair of the same including the facilities provided for Prakash and Sahaya. Both the gardens looked after by Lillykutty and Sahaya were affected by the draught after yielding vegetables for about two months.

The new bore-well if commissioned may revive the gardens. Prakash Harry continues as a helper at Tim's office packing section . He is able to open the internet on his own.

Sunder completed the first cycle of Chemotherapy and radiations. He is undergoing a computer training in accounting. He stays at the C3 centre and is assisting in some mission activities.

The constant support and encouragement from our committee brethren from abroad strengthens us greatly even in our difficult times. Thank GOD for His care and protection during these days.

Your Brother in Christ, Mathews P Jacob
